Bone Dance/Divider/Plebian Grandstand/Throatruiner Records/2011 3 Way Split Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  3  way  split  between  Idaho's Bone Dance,  New  York's  Divider  and  France's  Plebian  Grandstand  and  we  will  start  of  the  review  with  Bone  Dance  which  plays  a  noisy  brand  of  sludge/grind/crust  hardcore.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  sludge,  hardcore,  noise,  crust,  grind  and  hardcore  together  with  a  good  amount  of  distortion  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.

Vocals  are  all  high  pitched  sludge  growls  and  screams  with  a  hardcore  edge,  while  the  lyrics  cover  hateful  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Bone  Dance  are  a  very  good  sounding  sludge/noise/grind/hardcore  hybrid  and  if  you are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "West'.  RECOMMENDED.

Next  up  is  Divider  which  plays  a  mixture  of  hardcore,  sludge  and  crust.

Drums  range  from  slow   to mid  paced  drumming  with  not  much  in  the  way  of  fast  playing  or  blast  beats,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars  and  at  times  they  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to them.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  riffs  that  combine  sludge,  noise,  crust  and  hardcore  together  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.

Vocals  are  all  high  pitched  sludge  screams  and  growls  with  a  heavy  hardcore  influence,  while  the  lyrics  cover  nature  themes,  as  for  the production  it  has  a  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Divider  are  a  very  good  sounding  hardcore/noise/sludge  hybrid  and  if  you  are  a  fan of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Gaia".  RECOMMENDED.

Next  up  is  Plebian  Grandstand  that  plays  a  noisy  form  of  sludge/noise/haardcore.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars  and  at  times  they  sound  very  powerful.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  sludge,  noise,  grind  and  hardcore  together  mixed  in  with  alot  of  noisy  distortion  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.

Vocals  range  from  deep  growls  to  high  pitched  sludge/noisecore  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  hateful  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Plebian  Grandstand  are  a  very  great  sounding  noise/sludge/hardcore  hybrid  with  the  best  music  on  this  split  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Woe  Is  Me".  RECOMMENDED.

In  my  opinion  this  is  a  great  split  and  I  would  recoommended  to  all  fans  of  sludge/noise/hardcore. RECOMMENDED  BUY
